Raw Cacao Versus Dark Chocolate

CACAO versus COCOA – You Need to Know, we at COCORAU are committed to work with only the highest organic RAW CACAO for all of our products. To let you know a bit more of the always returning question about the differences we would love to tell you a bit more about it.

All of the CACAO is coming from the cacao fruit tree, that produces cacao pods which are cracked open to release the beans. These beans can be processed a few different ways.

CACAO Is the purest form of chocolate you can consume. It is RAW and much lees processed than any chocolate product.

CACAO has the highest amount of antioxidants, flavonoids, magnesium, sulfates, protein, fibre, and iron. When the cacao beans are not roasted they are cold-pressed so the enzymes are not compromised. The pressing removes the fat and it creates the CACAO butter.

The major difference between COCOA and CACAO is this. COCOA is roasted and processed and CACAO is cold pressed and unheated.

The essential fatty acids in CACAO BUTTER maybe help to raise your good cholesterol and lower bad cholesterol. Raw Cacao in the raw food community is known for helping to reduce your risk of cancer as of the high amounts of antioxidants that reduces the number of free radicals in your body.

RAW CACAO versus Dark Chocolate

• Most important raw CACAO is unheated compare to dark chocolate that is. Most dark chocolates contains added sugar and soy lecithin wich is processed.

• RAW CACAO has twice the amount of antioxidants because it is not heated and processed. That makes RAW CACAO a Superfood.

• RAW CACAO as well as chocolates benefit the brain and heart. Thats why it is called food for love.

• Dark chocolate is mostly made with adding fat and sugar to cocoa. Another ingredients found in a lot of dark chocolates are lecithin that is optional. It’s added to chocolates as an emulsifier. It helps the cocoa and cocoa butter from separating and helps blend flavors. Usually it is derived from the soybean that is 90% GMO grown in the US. It is also cheap filler and makes the process easier.

• 100% cacao chocolate is used for baking and cooking. Chocolate with 100% cacao is very bitter to eat on its own. This chocolate is also known as “unsweetened chocolate. It contains no sugar and it is very bitter for most people to eat on its own.
